Waxing

Waxing is a professional hair removal method that uses warm wax to remove unwanted hair from the root, leaving skin smooth for up to four to six weeks. At Face Affair, we offer waxing for the underarms, arms, legs, back, and bikini area using high quality hard wax. With regular waxing, regrowth becomes finer and sparser over time.

Your therapist will cleanse the area and apply a protective pre wax oil or powder. Warm wax is applied in the direction of hair growth and swiftly removed, lifting hair from the root. You may feel a brief sting which subsides quickly. A soothing post treatment lotion is applied to calm the skin.

Ensure hair is at least five millimetres long and avoid shaving for two to three weeks beforehand. Gently exfoliate one to two days prior. After waxing, avoid hot showers, saunas, swimming, intense exercise, sun exposure, and tight clothing for 24 hours. Exfoliate gently two to three times a week starting 48 hours after to prevent ingrown hairs, and moisturise daily.
